A playful 16-minute docu-poem in collaboration with choreographic duo Alexa Mardon and Erika Mitsuhashi. This work is a document, an oracle and a celebration of our mutual ancestral histories and futures: fabulated through family interviews, cine-magic, the technology of blurry dancing and imperfect unison.
Created while in residence at Western Front, premiering alongside a full length performance by Mardon + Mitsuhashi in May 2023.
Also presented live in:
Vancouver, Canada, Jan 2024 for Hold On Let Go at the Russian Hall
Turku, Finland, April 2024 for Spring Roll Festival at Ehkä-production
Yokohama, Japan, December 2025 for YPAM at WAKABACHO WHARF
The film has been shown separately in:
Seattle, USA, April 2025 for Cadence Video Poetry Festival at the Frye Art Museum
Vancouver, Canada, September 2025 for VIVA Alliance “On Origin Stories” at the Roundhouse
